FAA Proposes Revision to Turbomeca Arriel 2B1 Turboshaft Engines Airworthiness Directive

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to revise an existing airworthiness directive for Turbomeca Arriel 2B1 turboshaft engines to address a safety concern identified by an aviation authority in another country. The proposed directive aims to prevent loss of automatic control mode and deteriorated performance of the backup mode, which could lead to forced autorotation landing or accidents.
