USDA Adopts Decreased Assessment Rate for Washington State Potato Committee

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for the Washington State Potato Committee, which oversees the marketing of Irish potatoes grown in the state, from $0.0035 to $0.003 per hundredweight, effective for the 2011-2012 fiscal period and beyond.
