NMFS Reallocates Pacific Cod in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area
Summary
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reallocating unused Pacific cod from vessels using jig gear to smaller vessels less than 60 feet in length, using hook-and-line or pot gear, in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area to allow for the B season harvest of the 2010 total allowable catch of Pacific cod.
