Coast Guard Proposes Temporary Safety Zone for Frontier Discoverer Drillship in Chukchi and Beaufort Sea

The US Coast Guard proposes a temporary safety zone around the Frontier Discoverer drillship in the Chukchi and Beaufort Sea Outer Continental Shelf, Alaska, from July 1, 2010, to October 31, 2010, to protect the vessel from vessels operating outside normal shipping channels and fairways, thereby reducing the risk of collisions, oil spills, and natural gas releases.
