The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is revising Medicare hospital inpatient prospective payment systems for acute care hospitals and long-term care hospitals, implementing changes from the Affordable Care Act and other legislation. The updates include new payment rates and policies for inpatient services, including rehabilitation and respiratory care services, and accreditation requirements for providers of inpatient psychiatric services.
