FEMA Declares Major Disaster in Virginia Following Hurricane Irene

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Notice of Presidential declaration of a major disaster for Public Assistance Only in the Commonwealth of Virginia, in response to Hurricane Irene, which affected the state from August 26 to August 28, 2011, with the effective date of the declaration being September 3, 2011.
