Malic Acid Tolerance Exemption by EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of malic acid on growing crops, allowing its use as a buffering and stabilizing agent. Valent BioSciences, LLC submitted a petition to the EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).
