Coast Guard Amends TWIC Reader Regulations to Conform with Legislation

The US Coast Guard is amending its Risk Group A facility regulations to conform with the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, which directs the Secretary of Homeland Security not to implement Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) reader regulations for certain facilities before May 8, 2026. This change will not affect the current implementing date of May 8, 2026.
