Pipeline Safety: Standards Update-API STD 620

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has confirmed the effective date for the updated standard, which incorporates the American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 620 for the design and construction of large, welded, low-pressure storage tanks. The standard update was published in the Federal Register on July 1, 2025.
