EPA Grants Partial Approval of Sierra Club Petition on Apache Generating Station Permit

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator signed an order on September 16, 2025, partially granting and partially denying a petition from Sierra Club regarding a Clean Air Act operating permit for the Apache Generating Station in Arizona. The permit was issued by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) for the power generating facility in Cochise County, Arizona.
