U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Revises List of Migratory Birds Protected by Migratory Bird Treaty Act

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has revised the List of Birds protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), adding 16 species and removing 3, bringing the total to 1,106 protected species. The changes reflect new taxonomy and evidence of natural occurrence in the United States or U.S. territories.
