Coast Guard Issues Final Rule for Recreational Vessel Endorsements on Certificates of Documentation

The U.S. Coast Guard is updating its regulations to allow recreational vessel owners to choose the validity period of their Certificates of Documentation (CODs), which can now be issued for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years, following the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2022.
