American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code Cases and Update Frequency

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is amending its regulations to incorporate revisions of three regulatory guides from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), allowing nuclear power plant licensees to use ASME code cases as voluntary alternatives to engineering standards for construction and maintenance of nuclear components.
