U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes Inclusion of Hellbender in CITES Appendix III

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing to add the hellbender, including its eastern and Ozark subspecies, to Appendix III of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, allowing for monitoring of international trade and conservation efforts.
