EPA Denies Gavin Power, LLC Extension Request for Coal Combustion Residuals Disposal

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has denied Gavin Power, LLC's request to extend the closure date for the Bottom Ash Pond at its General James M. Gavin Plant in Ohio, forcing the company to stop receiving waste by April 12, 2023, or a later date set by EPA to address grid reliability issues.
