Air Plan Approval; Illinois; Alton Township 2010 SO2 Attainment Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve Illinois' State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision for the Alton Township nonattainment area in Madison County, which aims to meet the 2010 sulfur dioxide (SO2) primary national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS). The plan, submitted on December 31, 2018, includes measures to reduce emissions and meet the Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements.
