NRC Increases Primary Nuclear Liability Insurance to $500 Million

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is raising the required amount of primary nuclear liability insurance for licensed reactors producing electricity from $450 million to $500 million, in line with the Price-Anderson Amendments Act of 1988.
