US Government Proposes Amendment to Horse Protection Regulations

The US Department of Agriculture has proposed a rule to enhance enforcement of the Horse Protection Act by authorizing APHIS to screen and train inspectors to monitor horse shows and auctions for signs of soring, a practice prohibited under the Act.
