FAA Proposes Airworthiness Directive for Leonardo S.p.a. Model A109E Helicopters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive to address an unsafe condition on certain Leonardo S.p.a. Model A109E helicopters, which were equipped with non-approved tail rotor gearbox assemblies.
