EPA Approves Clean Data for St. Clair Sulfur Dioxide Nonattainment Area
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the St. Clair sulfur dioxide nonattainment area has met the 2010 primary sulfur dioxide National Ambient Air Quality Standard, effectively suspending certain planning requirements and sanctions for the area until it continues to meet the standard. The EPA made this determination after receiving four supportive comments and one adverse comment on its proposal, which was announced on August 17, 2021.
