FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Leonardo S.p.a. Helicopters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Leonardo S.p.a. Model A109E, A109S, and AW109SP helicopters due to reports of main landing gear wheel assembly failure. The directive requires inspections and, if necessary, replacement or application of corrosion preventive compound.
