The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and United States Forest Service (USFS) will hold joint public meetings to gather public comment on a proposed 20-year withdrawal of approximately 225,378 acres of National Forest System lands in northeastern Minnesota, allowing existing mineral rights holders to continue using the land, and to provide an initial opportunity for public input on an environmental assessment.
