FCC Adopts Amendments to Enable GSO Fixed-Satellite Service Operations in 17.3-17.8 GHz Band

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted amendments to its rules to allow geostationary satellite orbit (GSO) space stations to operate downlinks in the 17.3-17.8 GHz frequency band, subject to certain limitations, and to update rules governing the FSS and Broadcasting-Satellite Service to prevent harmful interference.
