EPA Finalizes Regulations for Coal Combustion Residuals Disposal

The Environmental Protection Agency has finalized regulations for the disposal of coal combustion residuals from electric utilities, following a court decision that allowed for the closure of unlined impoundments and established new requirements for groundwater monitoring and public reporting.
