Implementation of Certain New Controls on Emerging Technologies Agreed at Wassenaar Arrangement 2019 Plenary

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has agreed to implement new export controls on emerging technologies as part of the Wassenaar Arrangement, a multilateral effort to improve regional and international security and stability. The changes, made at the December 2019 WA Plenary meeting, aim to identify and regulate six recently developed or developing technologies deemed essential to U.S. national security.
