NMFS Increases Atlantic Herring Catch Limits

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has adjusted the 2020 Atlantic herring annual catch limit and Area 1A sub-annual catch limit, increasing them by 1,000 metric tons, in response to data showing the New Brunswick weir fishery landed less than 2,942 metric tons of herring through October 1.
