FAA Issues Superseding Airworthiness Directive for Airbus SAS Airplanes Due to Improperly Performed Magnetic Particle Inspections

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is issuing a superseding airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model airplanes, requiring repetitive general visual inspections of main landing gear (MLG) sliding tubes for cracks and replacement if necessary, following the identification of improperly performed magnetic particle inspections on additional MLG sliding tubes.
