U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Exempts Holtec Decommissioning International from Low-Level Waste Shipment Tracking Requirements

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an exemption to Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC, allowing the company to extend the time frame for investigating and reporting low-level radioactive waste shipments from the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, from 20 to 45 days, in an effort to reduce administrative burdens.
