USPTO Mandates Identity Verification for Attorney-Sponsored Accounts

The USPTO will require all attorney support staff with sponsored USPTO.gov accounts to verify their identity starting January 20, 2024, to access trademark filing systems, following a discovery of unauthorized shared accounts by foreign agents and attorneys.
