FCC Proposes Rules to Combat SIM Swapping and Port-Out Fraud

The Federal Communications Commission has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to crack down on SIM swapping and port-out fraud, two methods used by scammers to take control of consumers' cell phone accounts and wreak havoc on their financial and digital lives.
