US Department of Agriculture Advises Public on Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy Risk Designation for Bolivia and the United Kingdom

The US Department of Agriculture has concurred with the World Organization for Animal Health's designation of Bolivia and the United Kingdom's zone of Jersey as having negligible risk for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, a condition previously known as Mad Cow Disease, based on information supporting the OIE's risk designation.
