FMCSA Proposes Hours of Service Amendments to Balance Flexibility and Safety

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is proposing changes to its hours-of-service (HOS) regulations to provide more flexibility for commercial motor vehicle drivers without compromising safety, including modifications to the short-haul exception, 30-minute break rule, sleeper berth exception, and 14-hour driving window.
