Commercial Closure for Atlantic Spanish Mackerel in the Northern Zone

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is implementing a temporary rule to close the northern zone of the Atlantic exclusive economic zone (EEZ) to commercial harvest of Spanish mackerel due to projected quota depletion by August 24, 2019, in order to protect the Spanish mackerel resource in the Atlantic.
