NMFS Prohibits Directed Fishing for Pacific Cod in Aleutian Islands Subarea of Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod, except for the Community Development Quota (CDQ) program, in the Aleutian Islands subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area to prevent exceeding the non-CDQ allocation of the 2019 total allowable catch (TAC) for Pacific cod in this area.
