Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone on Cape Fear River Near Wilmington, NC

The U.S. Coast Guard is setting up a temporary restricted area on the navigable waters of the Cape Fear River in North Carolina, starting September 11, 2019, and ending December 15, 2019, to facilitate the replacement of power transmission lines crossing the river, and all vessels are required to obtain prior authorization from the Captain of the Port North Carolina or a designated representative to enter the safety zone.
