HUD Proposes Rule to Implement Sweeping Changes to Public Housing and Section 8 Programs Under the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has proposed a rule to implement sections 102, 103, and 104 of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016, which would significantly alter income calculation and review processes for public housing and Section 8 programs, as well as asset limits for public housing residents.
