Safety Zone Established After M/V GOLDEN RAY Grounding

The US Coast Guard Captain of the Port Savannah established an Emergency Safety Zone in response to the grounding of the M/V GOLDEN RAY off Saint Simons Sound, Georgia, restricting vessel access to the area. The zone was adjusted on September 19, 2019, to prohibit vessels from approaching within 150 yards of the wreck site without authorization.
