FMCSA Receives Applications for Exemptions to Prohibit Commercial Drivers with Cardiovascular Conditions
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has announced the receipt of applications from six individuals seeking exemptions to the rule prohibiting commercial drivers with certain cardiovascular conditions from operating in interstate commerce. These exemptions, if granted, would allow drivers with implantable cardioverter defibrillators to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
