NRC Withdraws Regulatory Guide on Control Rod Ejection Accidents for Pressurized Water Reactors

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing the regulatory guide RG 1.77, which provided assumptions for evaluating control rod ejection accidents, as its guidance has been incorporated into a new guide RG 1.236, covering both pressurized water reactors and boiling water reactors.
