Changes to Accreditation of Non-Federal Analytical Testing Laboratories

The US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing changes to its Accredited Laboratory Program (ALP) to improve the statistical methods used in measuring laboratory performance and expand the scope of accreditations offered. The proposed changes aim to enhance program flexibility and clarity, particularly in the areas of microbiological indicator organisms and pathogen testing.
