Air Plan Approval; North Carolina: New Source Review for Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved changes to North Carolina's State Implementation Plan (SIP) to meet the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter (PM2.5). The approved modifications include adopting federal provisions for the New Source Review (NSR) permitting program and addressing PSD requirements for various NAAQS.
