EPA Proposes Approval of Illinois' Nonattainment New Source Review Requirements for 2008 Ozone Standard

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve Illinois' certification that its State Implementation Plan meets the Clean Air Act requirements for the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard, effectively ending the Federal Implementation Plan clocks triggered by EPA's previous findings that Illinois failed to submit a nonattainment new source review plan for the Chicago-Naperville area.
