NMFS Reopens Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fisheries for Full Annual Quota

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has decided to reopen the Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery for the full annual quota, allowing commercial vessels to fish without exceeding the limit and ensuring an equitable distribution of fishing opportunities across time periods, in order to achieve optimum yield and optimize the ability of all permit categories to harvest their full quota allocations.
