NMFS Re-Opens Commercial Harvest for South Atlantic Red Snapper
Summary
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is temporarily reopening the commercial sector for red snapper in the South Atlantic Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) for 10 calendar days, allowing the annual catch limit to be reached while minimizing the risk of exceeding it, following recent commercial landings that indicate the 2018 fishing year's limit has not yet been reached.
