EPA Sets Renewable Fuel Standards for 2019 and Biomass-Based Diesel Volume for 2020

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established annual percentage standards for renewable fuels, including cellulosic biofuel, biomass-based diesel, and advanced biofuel, for gasoline and diesel transportation fuel produced or imported in 2019. The agency also set the applicable volume of biomass-based diesel for 2020, following a statutory waiver authority due to lower-than-expected cellulosic biofuel production.
