USDA Implements Payment Limitation and Payment Eligibility Rule for Conservation Contracts

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has implemented a new rule updating payment eligibility and limitations for conservation contracts, as mandated by the 2018 Farm Bill and other changes made by the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The rule expands the definition of 'family member' to include first cousins, nieces, and nephews, and allows the Secretary to approve waivers for certain participants.
