NRC Issues Revision to Enforcement Policy Regarding Fitness-for-Duty Drug and Alcohol Cases

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is revising its Enforcement Policy to clarify when it considers Fitness-for-Duty (FFD) Drug and Alcohol (D&A) related violations for enforcement. The NRC typically will not consider FFD D&A violations unless the licensee's FFD program has apparent deficiencies.
