General Motors Denies Petition for Inconsequential Noncompliance with Seat Belt Standard

General Motors has denied its petition to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the noncompliance of certain 2017-2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty vehicles with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 209 is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety.
