DoD, GSA, and NASA Propose Changes to Federal Acquisition Regulation for Equipment Acquisitions

The Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are proposing amendments to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to implement a section of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018, requiring a case-by-case analysis of cost and other factors for certain equipment acquisition methods, including purchase, short-term rental or lease, long-term rental or lease, interagency acquisition, and acquisition agreements with state or local governments.
