FDA Grants Exemption for Powered Wheeled Stretchers from Premarket Notification Requirements

The FDA has issued an order exempting powered wheeled stretchers, a Class II medical device, from premarket notification requirements, allowing these devices to be marketed without submitting a 510(k) premarket notification, effective immediately.
